i had the a similar problem, but I also noticed that the car was making clunking noises more so when the car was coming to a stop. this is what I found. This is the front passenger bracket mount site to the frame for the sway bar. The bracket itself was also broken. I don't know how this happened, as I don't do a lot of hard cornering. But I suspect my driveway had a lot to do with it since it has some bad angles getting up into the garage.

It's all fixed now. Welded a 3/16" steel plate to the frame and used the existing bolts on the frame to keep it all in place. Works fine now!

Bump guys I need some Theories on this, So I have HKS hypermax 2 i think, I never adjusted the dampening since i got it, it rode like stock. recently the wobbling started. Today i adjusted the dampening 5 clicks back and 2 clicks front from the most stiffest. The wobbling stopped, and the car drives Real nice now. so my struts/coils are not blown, My question is, could there be something else loose, the caster is out, and i am going to get control arms with caster adjustment. but when the dampening was on soft, thats when the wobbling is happening.

UPDATE:

I had my lower ball joints replaced and also swapped out the old caster arms for the newer (03-05) design. Got the wheels balanced and went to get an alignment this morning. Now, when I took the car in this morning, the steering wheel was cocked slightly left of center, maybe about 5-7 degrees.

Now, the wheels are "properly aligned," but the steering wheel sits 45 degrees right of center!? The mechanic asked me if the car has ever been in a wreck in which I replied "no"

He advised that I take the car back to where I had the LBJs and caster arms replaced and have them take a look at it. I drove the car home and it feels MUCH better, other than the fact that the steering wheel is 45 degrees right of center. Any suggestions???

I'll be taking the car back to the shop where they installed the parts today. But does anyone know of any reason why my steering wheel would be cocked 45 degrees to the right?

The shop I took the car too said nothing is bent. I'd have more results if all the people here who owned the same car could give me some input. All the answers in this post will be able to help people with the same problem. I've read every single page of every suspension post and couldn't find the answer. PLEASE help.
