annoying brakes
When I lightly apply my brakes I hear a faint squeeking sound when rolling 2-5 mph. Mind you, my brakes are fairly new and this only happens when it is cold. The sound tends to disappear after pumping the brakes numerous times. Any insight to this problem would be helpful.

Fronnt break squeak? Sounds TSB could cover for that.
If it stops after pumping, then you probably had some layer of material form on it during the night (maybe frost) and just stuck on the rotor. When you pump the breaks or drag on the brakes, the brake pad contact is scraping it off the rotor and that is maybe what you are hearing.
It's more normal if it was raining and then you see those rust like residue on it, it would do the same thing and make the noise when you use the brakes.

I've had the issue on my '09.
My dealership did a de-glazing service for free and it solved the problem. The service adviser also told me that I could avoid the issue in the future if I performed a proper "bed-in" of the brake pads.

Fair warning, I don't know the first thing about properly "bedding in" ones brake pads. I googled the term and that's the first website that came up. The information on that site was corroborated by what my service adviser told me, so it's better than nothing.

did it twice, last year and just last week, good thing its still under warranty.dealer replace the whole sets of brakes in front including rotors and pads(everything)usually cost 800 bucks if not covered.will call and ask my SA what is the reason and will post as soon as i have the answer.next year my warranty will expire and i don't want to be liable on the problem that should be the manufacturers fault.

My 09 was doing that too so I took it to the dealer and they changed out the brakes and the rotors to the AWD version and its been perfect. It was covered under TSB. You should ask your dealer b/c its a known issue on the IS.
