Default Coilover question

So I had coilovers on my honda accord awhile back but noticed a chattering sound that I couldn't rid of after driving on them for awhile. Now I was considering getting coilovers on my IS but I did not want the chattering sound while driving as well. Any recommendations????

You could have had any number of things goin on there.

A good set of coilovers, installed correctly should give you no noises or issues.

If you want a good set shoot us a PM and we can get you taken care of

The chattering noise is not a characteristic of any coilover system. Either you had a bad set of coilovers, or something else was wrong with your suspension.

Most ground control setups I've seen for Hondas, the length of the springs are too short. They don't come with helper springs so main spring dances around when the suspension is in recovering from rebound. I suspect the Skunk2 coils are similar.

I beg to differ about the chattering. I and other that have had HKS coilovers have had noise issues with their coilovers.

As far as recommendations you can get a decent set of coilovers for a reasonable price these days. The real question to be answered is how adjustable do you want them.

I don't want to drop it too low as I am already running a kit with 18 inch wheels....

If your looking for good quality coils and for a low price than these are perfect. Dampening and Height Adjustable for $700.
