Default F-Sport Sway bar question

I just recently bought a fsport rear sway from a member but when i saw it was for a IS250 Awd I have a 350 and im wondering if i could still install it. Are there different rear sways for each model??? or does one fit all.

What about for an IS350AWD?

I want to get a set and have the dealer install it. They are charging $700 (yeah right) for the set and $200 for labor (this is OK). They said they would install it for me if I brought it to them.

EDIT: I have done some research and have found THIS:
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2011/2139.html

So they have an option for AWD for $500.

BTW, is that the "official" sewell site?

Sorry - I'm a noob. I haven't bought anything yet to mod my car so I'm a virgin! Haha!

ALSO, I have heard of a CL discount - how does this work? Only if you have been to an official meet (I have not been to one)?

Thanks.

^^^^The page you attached is the F-Sport Sway Bat set for RWD, not AWD. You need to go to this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...ar-thread.html

It will clear a lot of things up for you.

I posted there a couple of days ago. My post should answer your question.

OK I'll try to put this comment into prospective. It's been discussed before, but here it goes again.

Up until '09 The sway bar kit for the AWD IS250 was PN PTR02-53080 and consisted of only a rear bar. It was the same rear bar that came with the front/rear bar kit for the RWD. It was a 19mm solid bar.

In '10 Lexus dropped the prior AWD rear bar kit and replaced it with PN PTR02-53096 and this kit consisted of a front and rear bar. The dimensions are 30mm in front and 17.5mm in the rear.

Again, we are talking two different kits here. I have attached a chart to explain this.

Yes, that is the official Sewell site. You have to register as a member here on CL. It will ask you which you belong to. You'll be amazed at the prices.

And don't pay anyone $200 to install em either.

You can do it yourself with a couple wrenches and either ramps or jacks/jackstands... 15 minutes for the rear bar, more like an hour for the front.

The page I linked has an option towards the bottom on the right (above the price) of the page that allows you to select for the AWD set.

"Options:
F-Sport Sway Bar Set (RWD Only)
F-Sport Sway Bar (AWD Only)"

If I select the option for RWD (default) the price is
In Store: $495.00
Online: $450.45

If I select the option for AWD the price is:
In Store: $549.00
Online: $499.59

I looked at your PDF file and this is what I have gathered from reading it...please correct me if I am wrong:
You listed the specs for the stock sway bars for the IS 250/350 RWD, the IS250 AWD and the IS-F. Then you listed the specs for the fsport sway bars and THEN the fsport sway bars for the IS250 AWD?

I will go read your thread when I have time over the next few days. Thanks!

I have absolutely no car experience whatsoever . I have never worked on a car before and don't really trust myself. The only thing I can really do is put gas in it haha. As such, I do not have all of the tools to do this right now.

If you have the IS250AWD bar alone you probably have the bar when the rwd and awd bars were the same. See if there is a part number on there.
If its the 53080 its the same for awd and rwd.

Just installed rear sway bar last week. I'm not sure if I feel that much difference in handling.

Did you install it backwards? (Joking)
but really, everyone else here says they feel huge differences with just the rear alone.

Looks like you had F-Sport springs before putting the sway, I think the difference to you is minimum. I put sway before dropping with F-Sport springs/shocks, huge difference, but do not feel difference after adding F-sport springs/shocks.
