I just recently installed BC coils on my car and was just wondering if i really needed an alignment. Car drives fine and drives straight. I really don't feel like spending for an alignment if i don't need too. What do you guys think?
just did mine today..i came from x pack to s-tech to megan coils... I bought the lifetime alignment at firestone and i've been coming at least once a month...

You need an alignment. This is not a question. Your lowered and your alignment specs will be out of whack. You gotta pay to play.
By the way don't get the lifetime alignments from Firestone. They know nothing about alignments.
DO NOT drive 500 miles first. Thats a big no, no. If your toes way off in 500 miles your tires will tell you. Just bring the car in for the alignment.
thanks guys lol i guess ill set up an appointment asap for an alignment, and sick where in MD are you located? I'm taking my car to PTuning in Manassas that's where all my friends go to get their car worked on especially lowered cars
Not all Firestone alignment is bad. The only catch is you gotta find a tech that knows what he's doing, and that's a rare gem. The alignment is only good as the tech behind the wrench. I have Firestone lifetime alignment and it's a great value, but then again, the tech stops when I tell him to, not when the computer says green.
Right outside of Baltimore. I normally go to IAG for my subaru and i would take my there Lexus to but, with my crazy work sched i'm trying to find a place open on sunday's.

no, you should drive some first. this is coming straight from my installer. driving some will break in the shocks of the coils, and springs. maybe not 500, but atleast drive it around the block couple of times
If you properly reset the neutral position on your bushings, you can align immediately. Most installers do not do this so they recommend driving for awhile to let it "settle" which is actually the bushings breaking down internally. This is very bad for bushing service life.

I didn't say not to drive at all just don't wait 500 miles.
