Rotor Warpage
I have a set of AP Racing Brakes on my IS300, and there have been no problems. I have done a bit of tracking with it, but mostly canyon runs in the Santa Monica mountains against Acuras and so on. They've been great. When I first started in the automotive writing industry, I did some brake research, and found out that yes, in fact slotted/cross drilled discs are prone to warp, depending on who made them, and how they are designed. For example, Brembo is very prone to warp because they have thinner rotors, and many, many holes. This makes for less material, and warpage. StopTech copies basically whatever Brembo does, but uses less expensive materials, and although I've not heard of any problems, I would be willing to bet that they give up easily. This is one reason I chose the AP Racing. They are thicker than the Brembos, and have fewer holes, and their slots are slightly deeper than Brembo, Baer, StopTech, and so on. AP has always done their research at the track, not in the marketing department like Brembo whose main money maker is the OE. So, yes, cross-drilled and slotters can warp, again, depending on who made them and what you do with them.
