Default non-OEM low dust brake pads - what to buy

Dealer refused to put the OEM low-dust pads on my IS350 which was still under warranty, even though I had the TSIB in hand. They said they didn't have to, because pads were designed to wear out and my original pads needed to be replaced anyway. They offered to do it for a fee so I said no thanks.

Anyway, I found some online on Rock Auto online and they have been GREAT. They are Akibono ceramic and don't squeak at all and have virtually no dust at all. 10X better than the OEMs easily. This is a no brainer. Wheels can easily go months between washings, whereas they were turning almost black in 1-2 weeks before. See attached pics for the kind I got.

not sure about break-in... they worked silently and solidly the day I put them on and never showed a hint of dust.

I paid $55 for the pair I think, something like that, online.

Once your brake go past the mm aloud then there not covered under warranty. It becomes wear and tare. Remember the brake are not a recall.

The TSIB only states it's covered during the 4 yr/50k mile warranty. It lists no requirement for a minimum thickness remaining.

This really seems to be a dealer-by-dealer thing though, as I've seen folks have no problem getting the TSIB done with 30k or more miles on the original pads, and I've seen others get pushback with far less miles on the brakes.
