Brackets 150 and brake pads are 248 from the dealer. So at the end of the day I dropped about $1440 on these.
ty drewgo so as i said they are in the $1400-$1600 ball park i said....im sure over the oems, the TT's or the ls400's i have they are a huge difference but for the price i think you can get a set of rotora's or stoptechs which would IMHO provide a better braking setup but either way this is a good upgrade

6 piston Rotora or stoptech 14" front brake kit will cost about 1000-1200 more then this. Bringing your total to over 2400+ for a similar set up.

granted these are just a 4 pot caliper but it should provide equivalent braking power as your setup

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...omp_Rear/14500

i dunno if its cheaper for us 2nd gen gs owners but the prices are very similar to a aftermarket BBK kit

either way its a great mod i just wondered the difference in the stopping power for the $ amount

Yeah great price for an BBK upgrade.. But what their offering 4 pot and 13inch rotors . It doesn't make sense. TT's brakes with their 12.98 inch rotors are comparable in performance, if not better.. Now if you can find a 14inch rotor and 6 pot kit for around 1400.00 then that would be a fair comparison... 14in > 13in, 6 pot > 4 pot..

What size and offset 18s do you think it would take to clear them? I'm looking at new wheels and tires but I like the idea of using this brake set up but I'm trying to avoid making the jump to 19s because of tire prices

very very nice...I am sold. I will wait to do my brakes to do this instead of the LS upgrade. Did you do the back as well or just the front?

I forgot about LRD doing this...I thought about it back then so you helped tip the cup Big thumbs up to you both!!!

Would 18x10.5 rear and 18x9.5 front clear these?

You cant base it on the size of the lip, you need to consider if it is high disk, low and offsets and how the spokes sit.

Ah good old rockauto- I love the site, I really do. I've bought a lot of great things from there. But buyer beware - those calipers they list for the 08 c6 z06 are in fact z51 brakes and they define them as such. z51s are these:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...se-vs-z51.html

Also Part Taxi is selling the pair for a little over $700:

Caliper, corvette, right, 7.0l
06-08 $553.26 $345.79

Caliper, corvette, left, 7.0l
06-08 $619.18 $386.99

So again, back on topic now that we've knocked that out
