Got my bbk upgrade..!
I've been building my SC since Feb and I am almost done with it. One of the main modification was a BBK. LRD is a good friend an I've seen him start this since the beginning. The selling factor for me was one night, Shaodome, LRD and my self took his car for some street tune. I was in the back seat, Shaodome was in the driver's seat and LRD driving. It was late at night, streets empty and all light on green. He made a PUll and all of sudden light goes red, he slams the brakes and all 3 of us go flying forward and a 4000lbs SC300 with 3 big dudes inside comes to a dead STOP!
So I had John make me the brackets, bought the Caliper, rotor and the brakes.
This weekend we put on the BBK and I am extremely impressed of how well they stop. So a Big Thank to John, Mr.LRD himself for taking the time to help me with this upgrade.

nice upgrade bet let me ask you something....
since the calipers cost ABOUT $650-$700,rotors are what about $200-$250 a rotor, about $100 or so for pads and the bracket would cost us a few hundred im sure, approximately $1400-$1600 total......whats the gain of these over a set of rotora's or a similer BBK that will have the same stopping power?

In addition if you do some looking around (rockauto, etc), you can find calipers for 100-150, rotors for 100 a piece.

The C6 Z06 go for about 700 shipped, and the ISF rotor were 240 shipped.
Brackets 150 and brake pads are 248 from the dealer. So at the end of the day I dropped about $1440 on these.
As for stopping performance, I am not sure what they are compared to Rotoras or stoptech. I know having used TT brakes for many years, there is no comparison, these stop very well. In other words I don't have to mash the pedal to brake hard. They engage the abs just as the TT's did and probobly wont be much of a difference when it comes to distance since you do have to consider many other factors.
