steering rack bushing change waste of time.

I have a question for you guys. I don't have any of the steering issues you guys were having on the high way with the steering not responding, but I do notice when I back out of my driveway and turn the wheel, the car will "shimmy" back into place after it it's leveled onto the street. Is this just the tires settling on uneven ground, or are the steering bushings flexing?

I hate bump steer but I'm still not sure whether it may be because my front alignment is slightly off. My car's a 98sc400 with 140K. I've had a bad experience with replacing rack bushings on my 95 sc300 years ago. At first I used the cheap ones from ebay which uses a plastic cylinder, wtf? Of course they got smashed up over time so I switched to Daizens. I'm not sure if it's because they are for sport applications, but the Daizens felt stiffer/harsher for some reason. It just didn't feel like the problem was fixed. oem rack busining last quite a while so I'm wondering if that would be the better choice? Can you tell me if I need an allighment afterwards? Thanks!

no alignment needed for steering rack bushings.
the dazen are fine. check your ball joints. and check your front wheel barrings.
my ball joints were bad and my wheel barrings were bad.
