i used the stock pads from the junkyard.they had almost full life on them and they dont throw much dust.and for the people that are complaining about buying them from the junkyard.the rebuild kit is $6 from rockauto and it takes about 1 hour to do .all in all i spent $156 for my ls upgrade. thats including new rotors.thats not being cheap, thats just not throwing away money in my opinion

Direct bolt-on. The only thing some people have had issues with is the length of the SC caliper bolts VS the length of the LS caliper bolts. The LS caliper bolts are shorter. You could always shim with washers if you run into this issue or just purchase a set of new LS bolts . Hope this helps.

BTW socal72, I saw on other threads that some people grind a certain part of the LS calipers hitting either the LCA or UCA I can't remember, but some people say they didn't have to, what's the truth on this?

Oh there is one other thing, make sure you remove the dust shield you can just take an angle grinder and notch it out to remove it so you dont have to pull the hub. If you feel like you you might reuse it in the future the you will have to pull the hub. Hope this helps.

I did have to grind a small part on LS calipers to fit them properly like others on the board. It's case by case, but have a dremel handy when doing the install to avoid any hiccups.

Where exactly did you have to grind, so people reading this thread can be equipped when doing this mod if and when it applies? I think it would be good to know just in case they run into this problem.
