Default brake squeak temp fix

So i have been annoyed with the brake squeak on the braves as you braking before àt à lis speed when slowing down, Lexus tech advised that the brakes and rotors need to be replaced to an updated ones. However im no longer under warranty therefore i need to pay to get it done.

Didnt wanna spend 600 bucks for them to replace it, so what i did is tried to clean the brakes and shims and swapped the pad on one side to the other......and the résults, no more squeeking at least for now

When you clean off the back of the pads and the shims, there's a silver compound that should be added to further reduce squealing. I don't know what it's called, or if it can be ordered on it's own.. I know it's included with a new shim kit.

I had or might still have a slight squeaking crackling type noise and they installed a new shim kit. So hopefully it'll stay gone

+1

This and similar type of products (caliper grease) should be used with every brake pad change.
