ride quality with fsport springs
#16
After talking to some people last night I'm wavering a tad bit on installing the f-sport springs w/ my f-sport shocks. A part of me really things I should go Tein S or H&R w/ the f-sport shocks. After driving that IS-F for a day it wasn't low enough in the front and I assume my car will look exactly the same with 19". I'm just worried that i've heard Tein S sag in the rear and H&R is so stiff. Ugh.
Who has had F-sport shocks on either the Tein S or the HR? The ride of the IS-F was not at all too harsh for me. I could obviously tell a difference from my 350 though. I liked it.

I have a question. So after being in that IS-F it doesn't seem as low as IS350s w/ 19s and F-sport or an Eibach pro kit. Is my assumption that the IS-F would have the F-sport suspension just totally incorrect?
Does the F-sport even have F-sport springs??

I don't know what the IS-F suspension are, but me F-sport springs and shocks on my IS 350 look lower than the F I like it just about right for me I don't like slam or go lower like other members here have, due to the fact you pay to play, slam would cause a lot of damage

I have F-Sport springs on the stock shocks. The ride is a little stiffer than the OEM ones, but overall, it's not bad. As far as the drop goes, it's not as low as most on CL like, but for me, it's just right. I don't like having to worry that my front lip is going to catch on the bump stop in parking lots every time I park my car. As it is, sometimes, it barely clears them. There was a little worry about the clunking of these springs, but I think there was a recall on those springs, so I'm pretty sure Toyota/Lexus remedied that problem. So far, I haven't really experienced it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the stance and the ride is still comfortable with a bit more sportiness to it, but if I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with coilovers, just for the adjustability.

I have had my springs on for a little over a month. Overall ride quality is similar to stock but a little stiffer on bigger bumps. I actually seem to think smaller bumps are not as noticeable. It lowers it plenty for me without worrying about rubbing even with 235-35-19 front and 275-30-19 rear. If you don't want or need to adjust but want a little lower I think it is the way to go. By the way I am 41 years old and not into the slammed look but did not like the stock wheel gap.
