Default Lowering and Camber issues

Lets talk about lowering and camber issues! My situation is this: I dropped the car yesterday on H&R springs and decided to take my car for an alignment today. The place I took it to refused to do the alignment because he said my front camber is way off and there is no adjustment on my car.

What have you guys with comparable drops done to fix this? Is my camber really that far off? The only solution I've found so far is to buy aftermarket arms, and the website didn't display a price so you know they can't be cheap!

For those that did nothing to correct the problem, how long did your tires last? Does it affect handling or the ride of the car?

I'm new to car modifications and get worried about stuff like this...I hate spending money on tires.

I'd like to know if this is a real problem, is the shop I went to wrong? If it is a problem, what did you guys do?

the shop is only half-right: there is no camber adjustment for the 2is.

most aftermarket springs will still maintain an allowable amount of camber. the real issue that causes uneven tire wear is the toe settings.

it also helps to inspect the tires and flip them once so every often to fight off uneven tire wear.

based on the reaction of the alignment shop, it may be time to go elsewhere.

So nobody is having issues with excessive inner tire wear? Are you saying that with a 1-2" drop no camber adjustment is needed?

when i had tein s-techs, my pre- and post-alignment printout sheet showed that my camber was still within factory specs - albeit barely. however, everything else was out of spec pre-alignment.

again, camber can't be adjusted from the factory, so even if it is needed you don't have options (short of doing something like this).

btw, +1 w/ Bigrahizzl posted. anything lower than 2" will put camber out of factory specs.

Judging from the initial value, yes an alignment had to be done. The front toe was off. Second of all, the final rear camber is screwy left and right. Cross camber should be kept at a minimum.
