If you are going OEM I would go with Sewell. With the Club Lexus discount their prices compete very well with the other "Cheap Lexus Parts" Sites.

Don't molest your Lexus with aftermarket garbage, buy proper OEM parts. I believe sewell lexus has them for around $450 for a set.
I'm on the phone with Sewell, they said that it is impossible that the pair sold for $450, and that each upper control arm is $486

I dont remember, I think the $450 might have been my mistake or maybe a special at some point? In either case, you wont find much better than $649 for a pair, unless you go aftermarket, but you'll regret it if you go aftermarket.

many a CL member state not to go to aftermarket or eBay for certain things, these may be some of them, as a break in these parts could be fatal

I'm lucky it gave when when i was going 5 mph doing a u-turn.

Yes, left LBJ, broke again after only 2 1/2 years; so now changing caster and upper control arms as well.

Default Deal of the Day - Left Dorman Upper Control Arm

I just thought I would pass on the deal I ran across. Anyone looking for a left (drivers side) upper control arm here is a hell of a deal. Wizardautoparts is selling them for $26.70 a piece plus $9.95 shipping. These retail for about $260 at most auto parts stores. The link is below. The right (Passenger side) is not available for this price.

Each thread had their own wrinkle, nothing explicit/specific in each case. I read all those threads where folks were adamant that the caster arm and UCA, and that those are the cause for stressing the LBJ's and eventually make them go. Tie rods weren't mentioned as much in this context - and now that I see that they are some of the cheapest parts relative to the others, I regret not changing them too, but the job is done, and I will be picking up the car tonight.
