Slotted rotors is not an upgrade that will improve your stopping unless your a 5500 lbs. suv that keeps warping rotors due to the amount of heat produced. I have always been against slotted or drilled rotors but due to my QX56 usually weighting about 6000-6500 lbs when loaded and warping rotors like crazy. So due to the amount of heat build up I am going to break down and and get some R1 rotors and see if it helps. I am very skeptical . I cant see them reducing much heat though. There isn't much air getting blown from the side when your going 70 mph.Slots are only to remove the gasses from the pads and reduce fading when hot. And these days brake pads don't produce the gasses that they use to. I have always figured if your drilling holes in the rotor, then your taking away from the surface area that your relying on to stop you. I have always been one for brembo blanks. If you insist on the look, make sure you get rotors that were cast with the holes and the holes weren't drilled after the rotor was cast. The later causes the rotor to be much weaker and crack(Very bad thing when you need brakes).
Anyway- they were cross-drilled...and I noticed that they were MAJORLY cooler than the stock rotors. I could drive the old GA like I stole it, and 20 mins after I parked it, the rotors were just about cool to the touch. Pretty neat.

(98-05) 2GS:
Front Rotors: 11.65" x 1.26" (296mm x 32mm)
They are Cast Iron sliding calipers with 2 pistons.
Piston size = 1.75" (44.5mm)
Pad dimensions = 5.67" x 2.51" x .65" (144.0 x 63.8 x 16.5mm)
Caliper weight = 17.5 lbs.
(95-00) LS400:
Front Rotors: 12.4" x 1.10 (315mm x 28mm)
They are Aluminum fixed calipers with 4 pistons. (ALL Aluminum!)
Piston size = 1.69" (43mm)
Pad dimensions = 4.56" x 2.94" x .65" (115.7 x 74.6 x 16.5mm)
Caliper weight = 9 lbs.
(here's the TT Supra info for you as well )
MKIV (93-98) Twin-Turbo Supra:
Front Rotors: 12.72" x 1.18" (323mm x 30mm)
They are half Iron/half Aluminum fixed calipers with 4 pistons. (Alum Front /Cast Iron Rear)
Piston size = 1.69" (42.85mm)
Pad dimensions = 4.69" x 3.16" x .65" (119.2 x 80.3 x 16.5mm)
Caliper weight = 15 lbs.
This sorta took a long time to compile...Hope it helps everybody ! WHEEEEWWWW...

Did you do this job on these ??? Looks absolutely AMAZING! They're as nice as BigTy's CHROME ones!!! (that caliper is NOT chrome-plated??? It's POLISHED!? ) Let me know...
I'd LOVE to know how long this took to do, and how you did it. I'll gladly spend 10 or 12 hours polishing the LS400 calipers to look like THAT! hah

Dahhaaamn! Glad you told me that...not what I was hoping to hear though.
I have 20 x 85 Gianna wheeels and I think the offset is +40... guess I'm gonna have to save up buy four ADAPTERS! (fuggin things are expensive!) mannnnn
But about PHML's car...AGREED! That front wheel/brake pic is AMAZIN', Pete! Looks soooooo good. What size spacer are you using? or do your wheels have a lower offset & just "fit" ?
Does anybody know if there's a way to have regular (slide-on) wheel spacers and somehow still keep the wheels HUBCENTRIC ? (I'm guessing NO...)

u dont need to mod the brake lines, but i cant be certain as i upgraded to ss lines at the same time.
i think you may need to shave off that little metal tooth at the banjo fitting on the brake line that attaches to the caliper though if i remember right.
most of the brake force is up front, i didnt find the rear locking up anymore than before, but i found the braking more predictable after changing to the ls400 brakes.
with exact motorsports, oem tie rods, and ls400 calipers, you can still run a 17in wheel however u need to push the offset out . i have 17x8 +25 winter wheels, and i still needed a 5mm spacer to push them out due to spoke design.

Nice pics- Looks AWESOME!!! I was thinking about painting mine in Gold, too...(same color GS!), but I might do Silver. I don't know...
