Default new brake rotors questions

its time for my rotors to be replaced along with my brake pads. i was looking into the drilled and slotted rotors here......http://www.luxurymods.com/irotorscro...rs06is350.aspx

is it worth getting the drilled and slotted? im not sure what brand those are either. i saw on sewell the rear are $257 and the front are $198 for the blank.

any ideas or suggestions?

there's no reason to ever drill holes in car rotors- they eat through pads 25% faster, weaken the rotor and remove mass from something designed to operate as a heat sink, all in exchange for no operational benefit of any kind. Looks nice though.

Slotted can be useful for a car that will be used on the track and doesn't have the same cracking issues drilled does, but again eats through pads 25% faster and offers no benefit to a street car.

^^^ I couldn't have said it any better.

Most of the one you see on the streets are for cosmetic purposes. If you race your car on the track, then they will be beneficial.

Power Slots are legit, wont crack, but will probably eat pads a little quicker. I think the pads are worth it for the look...and if you change the pads yourself the extra couple bucks wont bother you.
