Default Popping sound while backing and turning

I've got a '97 SC400 with 130k. I replaced the LCA, sway bar links, and struts on both front corners (as well as rear struts). Also replaced steering rack bushings with Diazen. When I reverse and turn the wheel nearly to full lock, I get a popping sound from what I think is the RH front. I was wondering if this could be a worn upper ball joint or tie rod end shifting as the suspension loading changes during turning?

I've also been reading about you guys replacing your engine and trans mounts. I've had this car since 19k, so I know these mounts are original. Could these be what's giving me some rattling I'm hearing on uneven pavement?

Thanks for your opinions.

There was a diy thread a while back about similar problem, i cant find it for some reason.

Try to tighten up your crossmember, some bolts are hidden so take that into consideration. Raise up your car on the jackstands and look for loose bolts that are related with your crossmember.

Good call, Lex Man.

All 4 of the 17mm bolts needed tightening. There's still a slight clunking sound under braking, but the one that occurred while backing/turning is gone. And maybe I'm crazy, but the turning does feel a bit sharper and more responsive. Thanks for the tip.

If there is a slight or not so slight wobble with the click and or pop sound, it's your lower control arm bushings. My car did the same thing. Jacked it up and rear of the two lower control arm bushings were toast.

The LCAs are both new, so I'm fairly sure the bushings are OK. I also replace the sway bar links. The one thing I didn't replace was the UCAs. I wonder if the bushings or ball joint on that could be shot.

I the meantime, I'll check the brakes. Thanks Lex Man.
