Default spacers and stock wheels

Hey all, I've searched this but I'm not finding the answer i want. Will 20mm spacers bring my stock 16" wheels on my '98 SC3 out flush with the wheel wells, or do I need to go larger ? I'm thinking the Ichiba 20mm spacers.

20mm will not get you to be flush at all. I suggest you save your money and don't buy the spacers. Just rock the sunken battleship until you need to buy new tires, then you just buy new wheels.

yeah I was looking for a cheap way to improve the look. I was looking at TT wheels but I read that you still need spacers to be flush with the edge of the wheelwells.

During the winter I roll on my stock 16" wheels with spacers. It looks "ok" from the sides, but it's funny when you view the rear and see these thin 6.5" wide bicycle wheels

If you're going to buy new wheels for your car and test fit to make sure they are flushed, then dont get the spacers.

If you're going to buy wheels used, then get the spacers. You cant buy used rims with lower offset than 35mm . I've got 35mm offset with 7.5 wide rims and they look good with spacers. So most used wheels out there are fwd to medium offset, unless you get really really lucky.

hey, just wanted to say thanks to all who responded. I picked up some TT wheels w/great tires, mounted, balanced off ebay, delivered for $645.00. Took 'em off the pallet and bolted 'em on. I'm very pleased. Looks, rides, handles great ! Stock Supra tire sizes, at some point I will upgrade to larger tires. No center caps, so I need to find Lexus one's that fit. For the price TT's are the way to go.

TT wheels in the front are still just as sunk as stock wheels.

Yes they look like hell without spacers which is what I am dealing with right now

275 in the back looks pretty good but the front really sucks with out the 20mm spacer.
