Default Adjust toe on rear

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone can help me adjust the toe on my rear left wheel.

I hit a curb and the current reading is +2.3. Needs to be between 0.1 and 0.3

Could someone post a step by step guide on how to fadjust he toe? Also, what tools will I need to do it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

a 19mm. If you take off your rear wheel, you'll see a rod that comes out from the front of the hub tot he subframe. That bolt that holds the arm onto the subframe is eccentric. Mark it first (just for reference) then loosen the nut and turn the bolt to either push the front of the hub out or pull the hub in to toe it out or in.

Thanks a lot for the replies. How hard is it to install a new toe link? Thanks.

installing new toe links isn't really hard at all. you just need a 19mm socket/wrench, and something to pull the ball joint out, i recommend something like a pitman puller. Bver sells a pair for 195$, i'm not sure about shipping though.

Hi topdog,

Left Camber 0.1

Right Camber -1.7

Recommended specs are between -1.6 and -0.1

Left Toe 2.3

Right Toe -0.1

What do you think? Will replacing the toe links be enough?

ArodDaLob: I guess I have to replace on both sides?

Once again, thanks for all the help.

are you lowered? if not you may be able to get away with stock camber adjustments. all of my alignment readings are everywhere so I'm in the process of new bv traction rods, toe links, rear and front lower control arms. then my steering wheel should finally be straight

No, not lowered. Do you plan to do all that work yourself? So you think stock camber adjustment and toe link replacement should fix this? Thanks

I'm a couple certification away from being a master automotive technician so yeah I do everything myself. use a straight edge to see if you toe link is bent.

chichiman are you using an alignment machine to get your specs or are you having someone check the spec for u after you adjust??? most alignment machines should come with a guide and i know for certain that a Hunter Alignment machine will give you step by step instructions, a list of tools needed as well as a plethora of other features

Hi, here's a pic of the parts behind the wheel. The two parts seem very slightly bent. Could that be causing the 2.3 positive toe?

Thanks

yeah it's bent. if you don't want to shell out 500+$ for aftermarket links and rods I can grab you just the side you need from my local junkyard for a fraction of the price. pm me if interested.
