Got my Is250 fairly recently. A couple months into owning them i heard a loud screeching from the brakes and replaced the front brakes. However, i still hear the sound now and then. Usually right when starting the car and driving it out of the parking garage i park in. A very honest and reputable mechanic that i've serviced multiple cars with, mentioned that aftermarket brake pads sometimes cause a lot of noise on the is250 and to stick with OEM. I now need to replace my rear pads, so my question is, is there any truth to that? Should i stick to OEM for pads?

I cant stand the sound of it. Im assuming its metal touching metal in the back, and hopefully once i change the rears it should be fine. But im pretty sure its coming from the front.

metallic pads still have a propensity to squeal. Go all ceramic for the quietest operation.
