Brian, I think the first is the Knuckle bushing similar to this one, just no knurled ends. The second is the LCA bushing at least looks like to me.

Leon, I am still interested, just need to settle down. We are doing large bushing purchases from Superpro in Australia to bring a lot of these things to the US as well as design the unspecified stuff like these even if we have to do custom orders. Trying to keep the price resonable too.
If you want to accelerate the process send me the used parts, I would love to have them.

Also to mitigate press in issues, we are adopting Loctite 620 bearing retaining compound to retain bushings without press fits. The only downside is they require set up time, about a day. If you install on Friday and Drive on Sunday it would be full strength.

I truly want to offer EVERY bushing in this system and there are many things that carry over to the IS platform or that are really close..

Mike

My GS4 has 260k miles and started making the dreaded squeaky mattress noise in the rear passenger side for about a month now. I initially hoping it was the shocks, since i had 100k on them already, but even after changing out new shocks, the noise is still there. I'm now hoping its these bushings. If I can get this fixed for under $500 and not $1200+ to replace the whole carrier, that would be great.

Is there anyone in the SoCal LA aready know a place, that has preferably done this before, but if not, can help me replace these if I can purchase the parts from ebay? I just don't have the room or tools to do the swap. Thanks in advance.

Sorry i can't help, but I did mines in my apartment parking spot. The tools you need aren't that expensive. A torque wrench from walmart for $25, a small ratchet and some sockets (all of them are spelled out here somewhere). You can loan the c-clamp tool from Autozone for free (you get the deposit back when you return it).

Not sure how much labor a shop would charge. If they have a lift, it would be an easy job. But I'm not sure how many amateurs you are going to find who have done this job. Obviously it is a common problem, but not many people know about the overseas bushing.

Just ordered the replacement bushings on ebay. I'm going to call around, but if I can't find anyone willing to try, I'll probably do this myself.

Thinking about ordering this to do the job along with the other tools listed here. Hopefully everything works out and I can get the bushings replaced and get rid of this annoying noise.

Sorry I misspoke...they wanted $150 a side. 2 hours @ $75 a hour PER side. I haven't ever been to this alignment place before as my shop got a new rack and I can't fit on it so I went to a place that still has a pit

$150 per side doesn't seem to bad. When I first saw the $300, I was going to just post RUN! I imagine when I finally sit in the driveway and do it, it will probably easily be 2 hours per side.

I did both of my bushings in about 2 hours, and I am not a professional mechanic and have never done these bushings before. I think there is a lot of padding in the 4 hour estimate, but I guess mechanics need to pad the estimate to account for any surprises, like some folks saying the bushings had to be filed, or something rusted in place, etc.

I did both of my bushings, the hardest parts was to keep the bushings from moving side to side as i pushed them in. what I did, and what prob wasnt the right thing to do was I removed the clip ont he front of the bushings (on the rubber) and I pressed them in slowly.

Once pressed in, I kept going slowly and then but the clip back onto the rubber.

No grease came out.

Received the bushing yesterday. Going to swap them out myself tomorrow. Crossing my fingers it fixes my squeaky suspension noise.

Default Where can you order these the Rear Knuckle Bushing?

Folks. Can someone please give me the link to order the rear knuckle bushing? What is the part number? From reading this forum, It is compatible between the IS250-300 and the GS. This is very typical Engineering practice but they're not willing to tell. LOL. This is where Lexus' s part cost higher then Toyota's part.
