I'm pretty sure there isn't any air in the system. I've had the LS brakes on my GS3 for about a year and a half now and the pedal feel is just terrible. I guess I can try bleeding them again but I don't think that's the problem. I have a GS4 with stock brakes and the pedal feel in that car is much better so idk what the problem is.

Larger pads = Softer Pedal Feel
Smaller pads = Harder Pedal Feel

All things being the same (pad friction)

The braking power will be different, but the pedal feel is going to change softer if the pads have more surface area.
