Lower control arm rebuild??
my 92 SC400 w/ 209 K on the clock needs both LCU's replaced. I found tons of uppers, but no lowers except for oem's which are not in my future.lol. I think my ball joints are ok, and shop says they can press in new busings. From threads on here,I found the bushing kit from Jegs for 60 bucks. Anyone had any sucess going this route?? I also need to replace outer tie rods, both sides. Right now,she drivin like a pig. Thanks

get a propane torch and burn out both rubber bushings, just make sure you keep the sleeves that fall out of there. you'll need to re-use them. then just clean off the remaining rubber that gets left after you finish burning the bushings and press in the new prothane ones. I can't afford a vise so i used a c-clamp and as long as you deburred it well enough, it should go in with no problems. then just finish off by pressing in the sleeves.
