if you go the paint method, goto your local nerd hobby store and buy a real brush, makes a world of difference.

Duplicolor is spray, right? Or do they have brush-on?

I would not spray paint them, I would brush paint them. So if Duplicolor is spray-only, don't do it.

I highly recommend G2. It's proven, and I see it used most often here on CL. I used it and got perfect results. The whole kit is only $40 on Tirerack.

here is a picture of my ugly painting skills with the G2 paint kit!!! I would recommend a better brush like everyone else has told you!!! I used the janky one that came with the kit and you can see some of the bristle stuck within the paint. i did mine spare of the moment and got to lazy to pick up another brush

i have the duplicolor (brush) on my calipers for... 4yrs now, wipe my calipers with a damp mf towel and it looks as fresh as the day i painted it.

There is one problem with painted calipers thou, sometimes when you pull wheels to clean the inner barrels/wipe down wheelwells/wipe down suspension you COULD nick them (calipers) as you pull off the rim. So make sure you keep the xtra paint for touch ups and/or make sure you can get the same color paint and not some custom mixed color.

and yes i do pull wheels once a month to wipe down everything in the fender

agreed, 1 can of brake cleaner per pair of brakes and use a wire brush, spray brush then wipe clean with mf towel, its all about the prep work.

Yep, I spent probably close to 2 hours in total prep. Gave them 5 coats and they look great! Now does anyone have a link to the quality Lexus caliper decals?

MotoGFX makes nice decals for the calipers.

I used the duplicolor kit as well. Came out nice I think.
I did 2 regular coats, the stuff dried fast, so I only had to wait 30 min inbetween coats
Then I did a quick "leveling" coat
Waited 2 hrs and applied the decal
Then I sprayed them with High-Temp Clear to make them glossy and protect the decals.

If you take the caliper off the hub (not the lines) and let them sit on a bucket, you can get ALL the areas that might be seen with the pads out...
