Default Should I swap Coilovers off to sell my car?

I'm having trouble deciding what I should do.

I have a 95 SC300 that is in ridiculously good shape (interior/exterior) with some miles on it - 129k or so.

I've already got a new car and I need to sell the Lexus. The problem is that the Megan Racing coilovers are noisy. I've double checked everything, and the previous owner even did LCA's, rear bushings, the works. The noise over bumps (click/clack) is definitely coming from the coilover's pillow-ball upper mounts.

I've heard this is normal for these coilovers. They handle great, ride okay, and don't show any signs of leakage, etc.

I have the opportunity to install/buy a set of used stock springs/shocks but I really don't want to put any more money into the car I'm selling. I might be able to sell the Megans for something afterward I guess, but my time is worth something to, doing a F+R suspension swap.

What would you do? My fear is that I'll be wasting my time with people nit-picking the noisy coilovers and doing a million test drives until i find someone familiar with coilover noise who will accept it as-is...

Mine are the same way, I had to hunt down the noise and after rebuilding the entire front end it's the only thing that is left.

I'll be selling mine soon enough and swapping for a better set.

I have the same problem

You need to change or tighten the nut on top of the coilver.

This is a known issue with megan coilovers according to my local speed shop that sells alot of megans

You have or had? Did you do this yet and had it solve your problem or just something you heard?

I checked both mine in the rear and they were tight, but I didn't have them off the car in a compressor (the right way). That would be easy enough to do, though.

I checked my top nut with a crows foot adaptor and both were tight, but they were both on the ground in loaded state. Should I raise the car and try without it loaded.
