mine when i install the old one,i have to modify my arm by trimming the outer part
In a side by side comparison I see the difference is in the portion that attaches to the under side of the a arm to allow the full slide. Funny thing is my is300 joints had black bushings....I wonder if spc could just sell me the upper half to adapt my ball joints to the isx50 joints. Hmmm.....

wtf! my ball joint looks exactly like the "new" 2IS version... but it doesnt fit any different???? The box mine came in does say 67525 btw. Did anyone look at the instructions for this "new" ball joint? It clearly show still "grind arm for additional positive camber change".

I may need to call spc to see what the significant difference of these two ball joints are. Because i dont see it. i like birador bought mine from a site called Import auto performance iapdirect.com, for $180 with free shipping for the PAIR. theyre now selling these new ball joints for $184.00 shipped!

http://www.iapdirect.com/product.php...cat=413&page=1

another member mentioned auto parts express, they only have the IS300 joints right now but theyre price is $158 to my zip code shipped. not bad!

again, i dont know why, but my ball joints look identical to the new 2IS version and not like the IS300's.

Yes brother it will make a significant difference. especially on those stock POS tires with roughly 15000 mile life. I had mine on with my stock 18's and will again here soon.

I believe that the taper where the ball joint goes into the arm is different. I asked this question when I was talking with they guys from SPC at SEMA. They said that the IS300 joint doesn't sit properly in the arm.

Only real way to know if they changed the taper issue (only real difference between the two) is with a Caliper. I would not mind popping mine out of my spindle to measure it if someone with a new (revised) kit measures theirs.

isn't there a down side to correcting your camber?

Yup....your rear tires wear faster than your fronts.

Sliding the upper portion of the wheel towards the fender may mean CRUNCH! Depending on how low you are.

Well I actually have a set of the IS300 ones that I ordered last week before SEMA. Bad mistake. I haven't sent them back yet so I'll try to do something with them and take some photos before I send them back. That way you don't have to take yours out.
