Default GS300 Strut Bar Choices

Hey guys,
I have a 2001 GS300 that I am just starting to work on, and I was wondering what you guys recommend for a strut bar.
Thanks for the help!

It has been a long while since I've had to look at strut bars. Since you have an 01, your main issue would be one that clears the engine cover. I believe the UGO one (that I have although my 98 does not have the engine cover) will clear. The TRD bar does not. I don't think the Tom's will clear. The Carson-Tuned does. There are also some on eBay, as well as ones from Cusco and Tein. I am not as familiar with the last ones so hopefully someone else will chime in.

I hope that gets you started.

Tein wont clear cover. Carson bar will for sure and the UGO. Good luck finding either. Years out of production. They do come up here FS but for a premium!! Invest in some TRD sways instead,

I had the Carson STB. a little improvement. But sways will give you more of what you're looking to achieve.

I agree. The final addition of the STB did very little for me. By then, however, I had already added coilovers, sways, and Tom's lower braces, links.

If you plan to stay with the stock suspension, sways would be best. If you plan to lower, I'd go with a set of coilovers that matches your lowering and driving needs. If not enough, then add sways.

RMM will clear the engine cover with some washers. DSR does, but its discontinued. C-One will clear w/ some minor mods.

Great post

Its kind of hard finding a decent strut bar that will clear the engine cover on the GS 300 and don't cost an arm and a leg.

Anyone had any luck w/ Ebay strut bars? If so, post a link to the seller page please.
