Thumbs up Rear vs Fsport sway bars set

So I had the rear fsport sway bar on my car for over a year and I recently installed the front about a week ago..
Here's my conclusions..
Rear fsport sway bar - With just the rear.. it had a bit of over steering and it felt it was missing something but it was still better than the oem's.

F-sport sway bars set - With the set.. it had a little under steering (which you want in a sport car). It felt more balanced when taking corners than the rear alone.

So my final thought is.. get the set! the fronts sway paired with the rear nicely. The difference in handling is definitely there vs just the rear sway. I should of got the whole set to begin with! I would of saved $50! instead of buying the rear and front separately.

@ Mong....may I ask....is your IS a 250 or a 350.

My understanding that both front & rear is a MUST for a 250 but not much difference going with the front on a 350. Thanks for your reply in advance.

Lexs350...it appears that he has a 350...at least by judging from his picture.

Stock sway bars:
front 27.2mm
rear 15mm

Fsport bars:
front 28.6mm
rear 19mm
The size for the front may be minor but it's a whole different story driving with it.

IS250 and IS350 RWD have the same stock sway bars front and rear.

Okay...thanks for the info. I'm still not sure if I should get the front sway bar. I'm not into going to the track but rather prefer a smoother ride on the highway.

Bottom line is.. fsport made a set for a reason. With just the rear.. the handling is incomplete and it has over steering. That is not you want for your car. You want a little of under steering and that's what the fsport set provides you

Actually it does not matter if toyota made a complete set or not. It all comes down to your driving style. Some drivers preffer more under steer some more over steer.

Also a good driver will modulate the throttle around a corner to correct it and not depend 100% on his equipment to take him around a corner.

Guess you missed the part where I said it all boils down to driving style. Take F1 drivers for example some drivers set up their cars with either more oversteer or understeer depending on their driving styles.

I see your point but not all of us have F1's driving skills where they can maneuver out of danger. All I'm saying is for us average joe's out there.. is safer to have more under steer than over. That is why most car's companies put their vehicles a little under steering to be on the safer side. With over steering you have a greater chance of losing control than under.
Anyway.. here's a little bit more stats about the f-sport sway bars :
Stock 2is lateral acceleration - .84g
F-Sport 2is lateral acceleration - .89g

and if you can tell the difference between .84 and .89g's ....you need to market that skill

No need for professional skill to feel the difference with .84g vs .89g. Is like comparing the new mustang vs the gtr.. the difference is night and day. If you can't tell the difference.. iono what to tell you.
