Default Do I need a front camber kit?

So I did my alignment after lowering my car. I lowered my front until it had 1 finger gap left (maybe a little less). Recently I noticed my front tires were shredding due to my cars camber.

Can you guys look at my alignment sheet and tell me if it can be adjusted more. If I need a front camber kit, do you guys have any recommendation of what I should get. Thanks.

The shop says -1.7 for the front is the best they can do.

(Note: my car is 2010 but the paper says "... 18" wheel: 2006-08" I don't think that matters just pointing it out)

I cant tell by looking at this. its pretty foreign to me. lol, Are you dropped? and if so on what? I was/am going to be dropped on eibachs. I got an alignment the next day after i dropped my car and "corrected" my camber. My tires were toast faster than i could have imagined. I did invest in the SPC ball joints, unfortunately the 2IS version wasnt available yet so im rocking the IS300's but they did a fantastic job on my wear issues. I highly recommend them. I could be wrong but red numbers are a bad thing i think. With my SPC ball joints in I was able to get my camber corrected to -.05 degrees camber. My eibach pro kits are 1.4" drop in front just FYI.

Im lowered on BCRs with 1 finger gap (maybe a little less) in the front.

I found a vendor who sells SPC ball joints for 2IS
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...and-is300.html

But my main question is do I really need it or can my camber be adjusted more.

There is recent thread started titled guess what I just found out or some thing like that. Its all about the 2IS ball joints. Many of us bought from a company called IAPdirect.com for $189 shipped for both even less look into it. Yes you can up to plus or minus 1.5 degrees. You need it if you would like to save your tires, but that's up to you, but remember if you go low and try to go flush the wheel will be pushed out further towards the femder and promote more rubbing. Most of those people prefer to go up to -1.5 degrees of camber to allow clearance.

No, this is not because of the camber. It is because the toe is too far out. Set it to zero toe and you'll be a lot better off. You might even want to toe in 1mm.

Would you recommend me adjusting my rear toe to 0?

No, that's a really bad idea. Rear toe at factory spec works on all 2IS. If you're set to the right toe and still getting inside edge wear there is something else wrong.

Your camber settings are both way in the red (bad) and you want your toe to be as close to 0.05 as possible to get the tires running straight and get an SPC #67530 camber kit through IAP.com(?) maybe IPA for $184 + free shipping. If you reduce the camber too much you'll start rubbing the tires. After putting in the kit you'll need another alignment. The caster looks great, set rear toe to close to 0.5. You may look into Megan rear camber kit too.

Keep us updated on how this works out for you. I am very curious as I just bought 6 tires, 2 for the rear on 18" wheels and 4 for the 20" summer rims.

Lightbulb BCR, megan links, spc ball joint.

This is the kit you would most likely prefer.

Just want to advise now rather than later tho.

Have a buddy help you put them on or take it to a shop!

you need to torque down the ball joint to 120 after or it will slide and go bludunk!

heres my car just got lowered 2 days ago on BCR rubber mount, Megan links(rear camber), SPC adjustable ball joint(front).

Circuit motor sports has the spc ball joint for like 220 for both shipped. It comes real fast too!.

Hmmm, do you have a camber kit in the rear? and the front tires should wear a lot more!

If you do not have the megan links then either get them or get the adjustable control arm for the rear. I got the megans & <3 them. my preference would be the lower control arm but that is a little chunk of change.

if you guys have any questions on the front I would be happy to assist you.

BUMP
Hey Guys sorry, I haven't been checking on this thread. Now I seen some mixed answers.
So should I set my front toe to 0, or .05.
And why did you guys say I need rear arms? Is my alignment specs for the rear not ideal?

You don't want to 0 out the front toe. I am doing mine at neg. 0.05 total combined toe, you need some toe to compensate for the shape of the roar surface (sloped), and about about neg. -0.2/-0.4 camber to lessen the tire roll on turns and still improve tire wear.
