Rear Upper Ball Joints? And Lower Control Arm Joint?
Maybe I just suck at searching, but I can't find an answer to my question so I'm starting a new thread...I bought my SC300 about two months ago and have been fixing everything that was wrong from the previous owners. It has 235k on the chassis so I knew I'd be replacing quite a bit to freshen it back up.
Now I am going through the rear suspension and I found that on the passenger side the upper control arm ball joint is shot; Are these replaceable on their own or do I have to replace the whole control arm? Also the boot on the lower control arm/spindle joint is busted too...Does that mean a need a whole new lower arm or is just that joint/bushing replaceable?
I just placed the order for the rear Prothane kit so I can freshen up all those bushings, but I know that kit won't fix the upper ball joint issue or the spindle/lower are joint.

The upper arms for front and rear are significantly cheap since they're aluminum. You can buy new just spread that wallet wider, or used just make sure the ball joints are good, which is really the most important part. What I did to mine was buy used ones then replaced bushings with Prothane polyurethanes. And now it's as good as new.
