I was checking out ebay and stumbled across these
Anyone ever try these or know someone with them? How would they be on our cars? Do you guys think that it is worth it? I don't really care for the switching up down and other crap. I just want something that raise the car up a little more when I go over bumps or up driveways. I also wouldn't mind being able to slam my car at a show. I heard the canover air ride system is like $5000? Would this be a good alternative to them or not?

Soarer007 has the Canover system, and some of the JDM Soarers come with them standard equipped. I know the Canover is a quality system, but I'm unsure of these ebay ones.

Not sure if you want to do this mod on the CHEAP side.
If you are unfamiliar with these setups, I will say that cheap is a bad idea. When the air-suspension fails, your car drops down onto the tires hopefully tucking under but if on a turn or your wheels do not camber correctly, your fenders get crushed and the lower arm bends from the exerted pressure. This results in a minor wreck that a tow truck cannot even tow because the car is too low to pick up with a jack.

yeah I know what you mean. I had a friend with bags and they started leaking on the freeway, his rear got slammed all the way down. Usually there is a level where you can set it to the lowest. So you can still drive around if it goes all the way down. Most of setups run around $2000-3000 installed. Canover are from Japan, that is the main reason why I believe they are so pricey. Anyone else know any company with a decent price air ride system? The ones on eBay claims that theirs are better than others....

what kinds of air ride system does some of the stock soarers come with? Can those be lowered and raised like canovers? Since people say most soarers are unwanted items in Japan, what would the price be for them?

I would just go and do it right. A local air bag shop in Sac told me that the Canover importer/owner has two SC's with air in the states. One on each coast.
I would say that would make him the pro at it. If I was to do this, that is the way I would go for that reason alone. I was quoted around $4k installed with the proper tanks and safety mods.
