I know this is a well documented problem, but didn't read any fixes. I have taken it to the dealer and they re-surfaced the rotors. Still has the problem.
Some say change to non-OEM pads. Will that take care of the problem? If so, which one? Just annoying. I know people say to drive it hard, but I live in So Cal...so traffic is a part of life. It just drives me more nuts with the squeaking when I'm in stop and go traffic.
thanks.
P.S. I posted here because there was no traffic in the break section. Want to get this fixed so hoping a few others would read this. Thanks.

I've been waiting to change breaks cause these ones squeak like crazy. I understand how annoying it is. I couldn't really find an answer besides switching pads thus far. The Lexus tech that works on my car says the only thing i can really do is change the breaks /: not what i wanted to hear.

If you in fact have squealing brakes, you have either glazed over your pads or they are actually shifting within the caliper. First, remove the offending pads and hit the brake pad surface with a stiff grit sandpaper. To fix the shifting problem, I believe Lexus recommends a kit...like seen here :

I would recommend new shims, new "fitting" kit (aka pad spring), and a new slide pin. Grease them all up good too!

These are coming from the rear. I already have OEM shims and pads. Rotors just resurfaced. Has anti-seize lube or whatever they call it. Still makes noise when going 5 miles while riding break.
