Does the 92 SC400 use the same brake pads as a 94 SC300???

Wow, I just learned today that Marcus Frost and quickturbo are good buddies, and that Nick T and VQT are brothers! Small world! I didn't know VQT was getting rid of his SC though, what he replacing it with?

If I quit smoking, my wife will buy me a new LS430 I like a 50th anniversary Corvette though.

VQT,
Go for the Vette!! Hell, we are old enough to deserve toys for our "mid-life", right?

The Z06 is probably the best bang for the buck out there, but I think you will still be wearing out rear tires

I don't think the parts are interchangeable SC300 calipers won't fit on the thicker SC400 rotors, but owners of older pre 98 SC300 can upgrade to the thicker SC400 rotors by buying the calipers, brackets, rotors, and asociated brake hardware.

928owner,
Yes, it seems like Lexus likes to made mid year changes alot. One of my brother's car ( VQT ) fuel lid has a place for you to hang the gas cap and the other car does not. Both are 93 SC400

Sorry to bring that bad boy up from the past. I have a 93 SC300 so the "smaller" rotor/caliper set up. Can anyone confirm that the SC400 rotors would not fit on my "smaller" calipers? And would it have any advantages in the first place to get the thicker SC400 calipers on SC300 brakes anyway? Anythoughts? Would it even make a difference? Are the SC400 rotors just thicker or are they bigger - in diameter as well? Thanks

Larger rotors don't do squat unless your calipers have larger/more pistons or are set higher up on the larger rotor.

SC3 brakes are smaller than the SC4 brakes, until the last three years, when they added VVT-i they upgraded the brake size of the SC3 to the size of the SC4.
