Why do BBKs have to be so expensive. i'd love to upgrade my stock 250's, but might just say forget it since a new setup would be around $3k for JUST the fronts!!! anyone possibly know where to get a great brand, brembo, endless, etc. for slightly less?!

You can swap 350 brakes on a ton cheaper.

Unless you track the car though bigger brakes do nothing for you at all besides look good.

I have been thinking about getting a big brake kit my self but its very pricey.....so my next option is to do IS350 brakes and rotors and stainless steel brake lines all for STOPTECH.

Why upgrade big brake on IS250?? The IS250 is not a fast car as IS350 and ISF.... Wat a waste of money on slow car..

this line of reasoning kind of confuses me...Why would getting to 60 in 4.9 seconds instead of 7.something seconds mean you need a larger brake setup?

On the track, both cars might benefit from certain brake upgrades, as both can reach about the same top speed (though one takes longer)

In street use on the other hand, for any normal single stop on either car the stock brakes will stop the vehicle exactly the same as a $5000 BBK will.

Once you take your foot off the gas pedal and move it to the brake pedal, how many hp the car has becomes irrelevant.

Do the IS350 upgrade if you want a BBK. No reason to spend money on true BBK unless you race the car.

I would love to upgrade but if anything ill prob just upgrade to 350 brakes as another member said above.

Because IS250 brakes are wayyyy to small for how heavy the car is

Take the car to a track and do a couple hot laps you will know what I mean almost immediately

i took my 250 out last year and had the brakes glowing in about 4 laps @about 1:30 ea

I plan to do 350 brakes this year if I dont get my BBK kit

I know its just for looks but some 19inch wheels defenately need them.I love my ISF brake upgrate
