Default Brakes too small

The IS350 rear brakes are too small, is there a good option to make it bigger, like fitting IS350 brakes on the rear, or some affordable brakes I can replace?

Also, what sizes are the rotors on the IS350 (front and rear)? and if I want to go bigger, what sizes should I get?

Thank you.

What r u trying to achieved ? look or performance ? i already asked the same question few yrs back when i 1st got my IS350, the front brakes are enough to handle all those power..rears are ok as well. you can replace rears to another set of same front brakes but required some modification, hub , and stuff.... hope that help.. isnt in the middle east only has 220d ? that like between 250 and 350 here ? power wise ? so IS350 brakes are plenty enough

Both looks and performance, the IS350 brakes are good, but I have a problem with emergency stops don't know what reason. So I'll paint the calipers, and try some aftermarket brake pads, and rotors.

Is there any detailed info about the replacing the rears to another set of front brakes? I heard there's a thread about this, but can't find it. I only seen the one that says it doesn't fit.

No, we don't have the 220d, that's in Europe. We have the IS250 and IS300 (3.0 V6 228hp).

So find out the reason.

The stock brakes perform exactly as well in a normal emergency stop as a $4000 BBK will assuming both are working properly.

Bigger brakes don't stop the car any shorter than stock ones do as long as both can engage ABS, which both can when properly working.

If you want to stop shorter, get better tires, that's what actually stops the car.

if your stock brakes aren't stopping the car for some reason, find out what's wrong with them.

(now, if by "emergency stop" you mean "My brakes seem to fade after my 5th consecutive back to back stop from 140 miles per hour" that an entirely different situation... but certainly not what most folks mean by emergency stop)

I agree 100%. And to add to that, the rear brakes are much smaller because there is no need for them to be bigger when over 80% of your braking is done by the fronts.

you don't want Bigger rear brakes, they are engineered to those sizes for a safe brake balance, if you make the rear to strong, you'll be more likely to lock up the rear brakes first in an emergency stop and loose control

Okay, I did a bit of mix up.

What I meant by:

Performance = new rotors and pads
Looks = Bigger rear caliper.
emergency stop (not sure if it's the right word) = sudden brake at normal speeds.

I'll see what's my problem.

Rush i have install ISF brakes front and rear to my IS250 just for looks because the stock ones looked very small when i install my 19inch wheels. The truth is that i still havent noticed anything different driving at low speeds, the only diference is at high speeds.I like the ISF brakes because everybody is now stearing at my car (latest comment was that it is piece of art)

Yes, and the point was that in the case of what you describe as an emergency stop, a $5000 brake upgrade will not stop the car any better than the stock brakes do.

The brakes don't stop the car, the tires do.

Bigger brakes, in normal street use, offer no functional benefit whatsoever.

Anyone who tells you differently is trying to sell you overpriced brakes.

These folks nailed it. You don't need a BBK. You might have air in your lines. Maybe your pads are glazed. Maybe you have a booster issue. Any way you cut it, you don't need more brake.

Did the isf calipers fit your stock wheels? I just got some front isf calipers and I’m running 18 inch stock f sport wheels on my is250 but I’m worried about the size if I’ll need spacers or if I’ll need 19 inch wheels or if both size and width with clear of the f sport 18 inch wheels
