I need rear struts. 93' SC400
Hi.
I've noticed recently that my rear suspension has been getting worse and worse by the day. I took it to a shop and put it up on a hoist for inspection. I have a leaking rear strut. I asked about replacement and whether or not it's something i can do myself. I've done most other repairs, brakes, calipers, O2 sensors, A/C compressor, fuel filter mods, etc.., so I'm well emough mechanical to handle it in mu opinion.
The guy at the garage said i would need a spring compressor to do it but, also mentioned the option of getting the whole assembly which includes the strut mounts and springs and etc,.. making it a much easier job for a guy like me.
So, with all that being said, what am I looking for? What struts do I want to buy? I have a medium budget ($4-600). Also, is this something I can do at my buddy's shop without too much difficulty? What issues am I going to run into?
Thanks in advance, for the advise.
