Default Need some advice and examples for is250 AWD - BC's VS F-Sport

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 2011 AWD and thinking about dropping it as my first of many mods.
The two sets I am contemplating between BC Coilovers or the full set of F Sport Springs with F Sport Shocks and slap on some 19's.

I don't use the car daily as I have a beater for work purposes. Lexy will be my weekend/leisure car. Definitely won't be seeing any track time. I'm going for more comfort than performance, but also want the aggressive aesthetics.

Can you guys please help me out with some pics and opinions on the two? Only AWD owners please!

Thanks in advance!

well for comfort wise coilovers will definitely be better than springs in my opinion. With coilovers you can adjust the height and damper settings to whatever it is you feel more comfortable with. With springs once you put them on thats it you can't adjust it or anything.

Look at Tein H-Tech springs coupled with OE shocks for an OEM ride quality.

I get that but what about the fsport shocks?

Can anyone comment on fsport spring and fsport shocks combo for awd?

Thanks for the replies so far.

I'm not sure about the AWD aspects but many people who have had the F Sport springs have then moved on to coils. How low do you want to go?

I'm thinking 2 finger gap, so like a 2" drop?

I don't think you'll get that with fsport springs and struts. A drop that low will be most likely coilovers or the eibach, road magnet variety springs.

I have a 2011 Awd is250 too. Ordered coilovers, installing Monday.

I have f-sport on mine and it will mostly give you a 1" drop on average. If you wanna go lower, go roadmagnet for spring or go coilover. Just ordered mine as well.

Do you have the fsport shocks on as well?
Looks like the drop in your pic is more than 1"? Do you have a full pic?

Ok. OP I love my set up now with the fsport springs and fsport shocks. But as soon as I get a chance I'm getting BC coils. So just save yourself the hassle and go coilover

Its never low enough. But I did some research on the BC's and read all the reviews and comparisons. BC's is the way to go. And now with the fsport awd shocks and spring combo I have no issues with. It has a more firm ride than stock but thats what I was looking for. I mean for the money that I paid for the shocks and springs I could have just got the BC anyway. Except they werent available then. You would be able to dial in your ride height (nothing below 25inches so I've read) along with the comfort level that is too your standard. But there is no leaking with my CV's with the fsport. I hope that helps a lil more.

I actually hear from people that the F-sport is a little to harsh/rough for them. More often than I would think, however this is obviously subjective.

Coilovers are great because you can adjust height hand damping, very versatile setup.

Hit us up if you'd like a kit
