Angry Changed 1 of the front struts now i hear a noise?!

Hey guys well so far Ive got the back done and now one of the front struts. Takes a damn min to do this job. Any who I had the car jackd up by the front tie downs (used to tow) just to get the front end high enough. (I dont think this can cause frame damage?) i placed the stands on the inside wall under the driver and passanger door. Any way I finally got the old strut and spring out and but in my new one. But after The job is all done now it sounds as though something is rubbing every time the wheel rotates? And when I come to a complete stop the almost sounds like its wine-ing =/ IDK what the helll went wrong I replaced everything exactly to the T any info would be great! I Know my driver side needs to be done real bad but i just ran outta day light on the project today. There direct KYB replacements so there shouldnt be a problem. Idk if I got the crap on the rotor it self while I was doing this job Or grease came out from a tie rod end or what but it wasnt like this before when I had the old ones on. Could It be its off balance due to I still need to replace the drivers side? or does it just take a while for the new strut to break in? Help me please! Thanks

If it makes a noise every time the wheel rotates you might have bent the dust shield and it is contacting the rotor now.

take a pry bar and push back your dust sheild for your brakes. i bet you accidentally bent it while messing around in there. the front struts are easy to take off the trick is having the car on acc so that you can turn the hub/rotor to a certain point to squeeze the lower side of the strut out

Yup it was the dust shield thank god! Ya imma try to knock out the driver side tomorrow can wait to feel the difference in the control/stability of the ride when its all said and done. The orginal owner never changed the struts it looks like because they were marked Toyota so unless he had them done at the dealership these OEM ones on here are the originals lol . Thanks guys This is why I love CL
