Cool 2011 IS250 F Sport Suspension Coversion

I recently purchased a New 2011 IS250 (non-F Sport). I elected to purchase the Bilstien/Lexus F Sport shocks and springs to get that nice lowered look. I am not satisfied with the excess bouncing while zooming around town. Can anyone please provide me with addtional information on acheiving the smoother "luxury" stock ride?

Thanks so much for your help and suggestions. I have a wife, that is Busting my Chops!! Hehe..

There isn't really anything much you can do if you don't like the F-sport Shocks / Springs combo. =(
The F-sport Springs are a progressive springs so its hard for the shocks to match that perfectly..

Many people here would suggest that you get Coils if you want that lowered look combo with a nice ride.

Sell your suspension setup and go for coils =P

i have just the springs on my oem shocks and i dont get any bouncing the xpackage/sport suspension that comes on the fsport is not as low and has less of a hard ride but I dont think anyone has ever downgraded to it Im sure someone would trade you + cash. Coilovers might help but I think going lower in general is going to make the ride harsh no matter what. If you want a nice ride I would stay on OEM suspension and get beefier tires...maybe switch to the 17" staggard set up from an IS300 sport cross with beefy tires...again dont think anyone has ever done any of that.

IMHO that would be an upgrade since you'd be switching to linear springs

But to the OP, if you want the best ride and to be able to go lower than the factory sport (NOT aftermarket F-sport) suspension then yeah, coilovers is the way to go.

I'm kind of having the same problem. I DON'T want a performance car. That's what my S2k is for. But at the same time the stock gap was huge. So I went full retard and got KW's. Big mistake. Yes, they handle great but the ride is crap.

I'm at the point of switching to F-Sport springs and stock shocks to see how that goes.

I had F Sport Springs installed on my 2011 IS 350 AWD. Could not notice the difference, it was very minor. Dropped the car to a nice stance, especially with spacers. Helped to make the car look alot better, at the same time, not too low. I live in Baltimore with horrible roads and the F Sport Springs was able to handle the bumps very well.

To me. If you want a nice drop with nice ride. Get full coilover so you adjust damper from soft to hard.

How about BC Coilovers

Good price
Good quality
Ride can be set up for whatever you want. (height, spring rate, damping)

Not sure if there is anything not to like about them.
