Post IS350 Front sway bar

I was wondering if ONLY the 09+ is350 front sway bar able to fit the 2012 IS250 front? Debating if i want to run the F-Sport F*R sway or just the rear and a is350 front sway. Thanks!

Yeap, thats correct... 2009+ model front sways has a lil change in them so only the 2009+F-sport sway bars will fit the 2009 - 2012 Front sways.

Tho you can probably just rock the f-sport rears. A lot of people here say the rear is enough unless you're gonna be doing some sick cornering. But its totally up to you. You can rock the rear ones for a year or two, then get the fronts. =P

Sounds good thanks Panda! From what i read, please correct me if i am wrong...the is250 will benefit more with the front than the 350 with the front F-Sport front. Hence why i am debating if i want a 09+ is350 front or a Fsport front. Thanks!

why do you want to put an is350 front sway bar on your is250? you know.. they're the same bars right? there's no difference.

No that's incorrect, the IS250 and IS350 use the same bars. The only difference is between normal and sport suspension.

Err... is that a canada thing?

because in the US the only difference between normal and sport suspension was shocks and springs (at least through 2008)

Oooh.. wait wait, are you talking about the stock IS350 front sways on your IS250...or the F-sport front sways on your IS250.. I guess I'm not quite understanding your question. hahaa.

If you check out this post from before...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...-to-is250.html

they talk about the differences between the IS350 front and IS250 front.

In terms of thickness and stiffness, they shouldn't be different between the model years. Just the way they're designed to be attached is different. Something about the bushings being part of the bar in 2008 - models and 2009+ models the bushings do come off.

So if you do plan on getting the F-sport front and rear kit (On sale from Sewell for $350 right now!) make sure you get the 2009+ one. Also, if you're getting sways, you should figure out if you want the dealer to install them (warranty for the rest of your car's warranty) or have someone else install them or yourself.. (warranty from the DATE OF PURCHASE). Dealers will usually price match sewell's pricing... i know Kerry in Lexus of Westminster will do it, and they'll cut you a break on the install price since you're buying it from them.

If you want to install it yourself... then make sure you keep the receipt that shows when you bought the part if case you somehow get shafted and get a bar that you need to send back for warranty!. Enjoy!!!

No it's not a Canada thing, it's an 09+ thing. 06-08 all sway bars were the same, 09-12 the Sport package has different sways.

I should have specified the years.

What are the specs of the 09+ sport bar versus the "standard" bar (which is the same as the all-packages 06-08 bar I imagine?)
