F-Sport spring alignment question
[IS350]
Just put this together and noticed that the spring does not align with the shock body on the side.
Is this correct? There isn't any other way to put it together really. Just that bushing inside the top hat boot keeps it aligned with respect to the spring. The bottom end of the spring is in the gap facing forward, per instructions (this is the left rear). I also checked and the top hat boots are the same for either side.
This is the straight on view (nice and straight):
Then flip to the side (wtf?):
I don't remember how the stock looked. Does anyone have pictures of a stock suspension?

I just changed my rear springs to the f-sport springs and I took a picture of the stock setup. Here it is:
As you can see, the spring is crooked. And the f-sport springs weren't as crooked as the OEM ones, but they were like the pictures you have. So I wouldn't be too worried about it. I put them in and didn't have a problem with it.
The rear springs didn't have much tension on it and this may have been by design. This lack of tension is probably why the strut assembly looks like this. The front springs which have more spring tension look straight.
