Default EBC brake pad review

hello fellow members. recently i replaced all of my brake components and i would like to share my new found love for EBC brake pads. the pads have just gone thru the break in coating but even before they did i noticed an increase in the stopping power. my brake system is stock sc300 i replaced front and rear pads with the EBC Ultimax which is the stock equivalent but with a touch more performance. i used a stock equivalent rotors, ebrake shoes, and hardware. from another company.

for what it is worth if the OEM quality is this good i cant imagine the power of the other pads they offer

Yellows are the hot ticket
They're not quite up to par compared to other advertised race pads but they make FANTASTIC street pads as long as you wash your wheels regularly.

I run red stuff on my 97 w/ 1jz swap on stock calipers and braided lines and have nothing but good to say about ebc there really is no heat up time on the red stuff so they are great for a street application.

Hey bro. Ive ran the green, red,& yellow. The yellow has better cold bit than the red & alot higher temp level. Ive been tracking my car for yrs & have ran nothing but yellows. Next time its time for you change pads, just go with the yellows. I dont think they should even make the reds. I just upgraded to 14" stoptechs & I dont like the pad that they came with, so it eather yellows or a set of Carbotech pads. Which they make like 10 different compounds, so Ill have to study up on those.
