brake compounds have come a far way from back in the day where cross drilled were needed to release the gases given off from brake pads under heavy braking. but with newer brake compounds, metallic, carbon ceramics, those gases are long gone.
pro's are heat sink.
cons, less surface area for the brake pad to make contact with.
most ppl, including myself, get them for looks.

The old theory was the slots help evacuate brake dust and the holes help cool the rotor.
Older drilled rotors had cracking issues, but that's gotten much better in the past years with chamfered holes and better manufacturing processes. EBC and a couple others have dimpled rotors that don't drill all the way through.
Brembo oem sized blanks on the other hand work great if your in for just a good solid performing rotor.
I have slotted/drilled bbk's all around, and I went with the slots/holes for looks, I don't care if they help at all since the calipers, rotor size, and braided lines made a massive positive change in braking response regardless of any impact good or bad the slots/holes may have had..
On a street car your doing it for cosmetics, so just go with what style you like the most.
