Good news: Lexus issues a TSIB to fix this several years ago.

Bad news: Unless you're still under warranty (which is unlikely, though still possible, for a 2007) you can't get it done for free.

Do a search, there's a bunch of threads on it. They replace the pads with ones that produce massively massively less dust.

If you're out of warranty you can still order the low dust pads from sewell and put em on. VAST improvement.

Unless your dealership is completely incompetent and replaces the pads with the exact same pads (same part number as the original pads), and you notice it on the invoice, and you come back and tell them, and they insist it's right, and you show them the right part number and explain that your wheels are still dusting, too, and they take the car back and say they'll fix it this time, and they give you another invoice with the same effing part number. Then your wheels keep dusting until you just replace the damn things yourself.

I thought TSIBs had to be honored regardless of whether you were within the warranty period, though.

Huh, that's strange... apparently they're only $40 with the Club Lexus discount. It used to be more. I paid $55 about a year ago.

nope. TSIBs are minor annoyances that don't prevent the car from still working (ie brake dust, rear view mirror vibrates with sunroof open, AUX jack makes a whine noise if charging your device while playing, etc).... TSIBs are only covered under warranty.

You might be thinking of recalls, which are always free... but are usually major safety/reliability issues (like fuel pressure sensor might come loose and leak fuel/cause a fire for example).
