Default A question about stock 17" rims compatibility with akata spacers..

Hi,

So I was told from the friendly representative at Akata spacers that in order for their spacers to work with my stock 17" rims (shown in the 1st pic), I'd need wheels with pockets in the back (shown in the 2nd pic)..

I have no idea whether my rims have these pockets. Do they have them? I'm confused. The representative said that the pockets allow one to put the original studs plus the studs attached to the spacers...

Any info is greatly appreciated!

They should fit since people are putting the same type of spacer on factory 18s. But, I'd read this before you decide to purchase the spacers.

I agree with the post. However, I've read that the issues with the 10mm spacers failing were more an issue of the thickness (10mm) rather than the quality of Akata.. This was from searching other sites (Acura, Honda, etc.). It's sorta confusing since Akata seems to have such a good reputation on eBay... Can someone confirm this?

Yea, I ran their 20mms on my factory 18s since October of last year, and didn't have any problems.

Oic, so the 18's have the pockets then. Any issues running the spacers on your car?

Thanks for your help!

Nope, car rode fine with the spacers. Just checked them, every now and then to make sure they arent coming loose or cracking. But not using them anymore since I got new wheels.
