how is the handling. i know you said no body roll... but what are we talkin about here relatively... when compared to say:

M3 like handling or a reg 3 series? ITR? IS300? S2k?

Also, in terms of %, how much stiffer and rougher is the road feel compared to stock? This is one mod I'm definitely going to do within the next 4 months so this post is of great help. Thanks!

Legend,

We installed his suspension....cleaned up and then went on a canyon run on the way to get grub. He got out and said, "It doesn't ride much worse than stock. Handles great thou."

Earlier I said no change in ride comfort, but recently I've noticed the suspension is boucier and quicker reflex coming off speed bumps and potholes. Nothing major, just noticeably stiffer. I've only ridden in an M3 once so I have no base for reference there, sorry.

forgot to ask... the most important thing for me. Does the stock camber kit work with this setup?

Please say yes! This is the main reason why I am rasing my car...

There is no camber kit in the car...

Defined:

Camber adjustment = stock camber bolts in the factory suspension used to align car.

Camber kit = aftermarket add on camber bolts to adjust lower arm MORE or to push OUT the upper control arm to off set the lowered stance.

sc4oo,

Will the car be able to go back into perfect alignment after being dropped past 1". I would say NO. I think it will be a tad past the outside parameter for camber. Translation, if your tires last 20k miles in a perfect world, then you will get 16k before the cords pop out in the inside track.

My rear tires have slightly negative camber right now. I'm going to get my whole car realigned tomorrow so we'll see how it goes using the stock bolts.

Rich how slow do you have to go over speed bumps, have you bottomed out yet? Thats one reason I am holding off of lowering my car, hate that... bang sound when you bottom out, hurts.

Haven't bottomed out or scraped yet, though I drive very cautious over unfriendly road features. I know that I can't clear those curb blocks in parking lots anymore. My front bumper will hit if I edge forward too much. My school has some KILLER speed bumps that are completely scratched to hell from other lowered cars, so we'll see how it fairs on those tomorrow. My exhaust pipes hang pretty low so I'm thinking they'll scrape first. Thanks again for the kind words .
