(be sure to select the low dust ones)
Are you sure you need rotors? I'm at 31,000 miles and mine are still in fantastic shape.

Yea they are pretty chewed up the person that owned it before live in atl and was in more stop and go traffic then the law allows. That and the db service guy at Lexus said they are like 50% on the rotors and and like 40% on the pads

See my post here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...rake-pads.html
for recommendations on a quality low-dust pad.
As for rotors, I've used a bunch. I could steer you to the high-dollar DBAs and StopTechs and the like, but believe it or not, the toughest and truest I've found have come from irotors on ebay.
Slotted rotors seem to increase dusting, but they look cool so who cares.
I've used slotted/drilled irotors rotors on 3 cars, from a 2300lb Nissan to a 4800lb MB AMG SUV. The MB (which modulates 4 wheel braking for traction control - handy when you lived in Alaska) ate a set of pads every 12000 miles or so. The rotors lasted over 50k miles and were still in great shape when I sold it. They were also zinc coated, which kept you from getting rusty rotor after a light rain.
StopTechs are also tough and high quality, but their high iron content and no coating (only on the hats and edges) meant they got rust streaked whenever you parked next to moist grass it seemed.

I think Lexus changed the factory pad a few months into the 2009 production to the low-dust ones.... so not sure if they ever updated the TSIB for 2009 models... no harm in calling the dealer and telling them "Hey, my car has really excessive front brake dust, I'd heard there was a service bulletin from Lexus to replace them with low-dust pads, could I get that done under warranty?"

Use the right shims (supplied, usually, with quality pads), a new hardware kit every time (I know people will doubt this, but it's cheap insurance to get new springs, clips and pins), and a generous coating of the Permatex Anti-Squeal Spray (available at any auto parts store).
I've never had brakes that squealed because of a sloppy install.
Now, there's the sound that comes from some hard pad compounds, or from brakes that weren't properly bedded in and glazed. That's something different altogether.

Okay. So you'd recommend I also purchase the Front Fitting Kit, (the springs, clips and pins), along with the shims and low-dust OEM pad from Sewell when I'm due to update my brakes? All of that is only $99 with shipping on Sewell. Sounds good to me!
