I bought some (used) solid steering rack bushings from another member here. Install went easy no big deal, took maybe thirty minutes or so to do 'em.

The difference is amazing! Right as I turned the wheel you could how much heavier and more responsive it has become.

My bushings were in pretty decent shape, but man! What a difference, if you've been contemplating on your next suspension upgrade, then these bushing are definitely the way to go

Do the solid bushings transmit more of the road/tire vibrations through the steering wheel? Or does it feel pretty much like stock?

Not at all, it seems like it's stock, just stiffer. I'll update in a few days once I actually do some driving.

this is the problem I have atm that I would like to alleviate. any vibrations through the steering wheel?

Actually, now that I've driven about a hundred miles, and no vibrations. I do feel my wrist getting tired for awhile since it's all tight now.

I looked on the Battle version website and it appears they only sell the drivers side mounts, what did you use for the passenger side bushing, just reused the old stock one? I only ask because they're not usually sold separately, both drivers and passenger bushings are sold as a set for the aftermarket urethane ones.

This. That's what I was afraid of. Engineers wouldn't design it to have a vibration absorbing material for no reason.

The passenger side is more of a grommet than a bushing. Its just wrapped around the rack pinion shaft so it wouldn't be metal to metal with the brace/clamp. And no, even if you buy it from Toyota/Lexus its separate. I think it was around $36+ for the passenger side.

Stock OE. When I unbolted it, I checked it, and it's stil in great shape.

Yeah it's actually not that bad, I'm already used to it. IMO I think the trade off is very worthwhile though.
