So I went to pick my up rotors today.. and to my surprised... the weight of the rotors in my trunk actually reduced the clunking noise from the coils .. and also made the car feel alot more planted... does this mean my preload is off?

^Sounds like something is definitely off. Definitely look at re-setting the rear pre-load. According to BCR, hand-tighten lower collar until spring is tight against the upper mount. Then add an additional 2-3 widths of the spanner wrench.

GL!

I had two sets of BC coils with different spring rates. Do you reseach. Lower spring rates on the BC's are usually the culprit, ie 10/8. 13/11 did the trick for me.

12/8 springs here...no noises whatsoever. I still think it's a preload/setup related issue.

Had mine installed a week ago and no clunking at all. The shop I go to said that it is probably the sway bar bushings. He put a load on it before he tightened everything up.

Question Coilovers

hi, i was planning to get coilovers for my is250 2008 and it seems like im goin to get the BC but still don't know if im goin to get the extreme drop or the normal shock.. is there anyone who can help me decide? im changing my rims into 18" so i dont know if im goin to get the extreme or normal byt ryt now i have 17" rims.. but i read some issues about the loud clunking noise with BC coilovers,,, how bwt stance? is it better or just stick to BC? pls help me if anyone can coz i dont want to waste my money and want to be sure of what coilovers to get and be sure to get the height that i want(no gap on tire)..Tnx guys..

When you say "extreme drop ", do you mean coilovers? And when you say "normal shock", do you mean for example a F-sport shock w/ F-sport lowering spring setup? To get you to your goal, your best bet is a coilover setup, so that you can dial-in the desired ride height and adjust the dampening for ride comfort.

You cannot go wrong with the BR Racing setup; just remember to get the rear extended adjusters with the set as well.
